Taking meeting minutes is not a glamorous job, but it doesn't need to mean scribbling madly for an entire meeting. At a minimum, minutes need to include the date, who is at a meeting, the agenda, any resolutions that pass, and any tasks that people agree to do for the next meeting.
Following are two samples: first a form for filling out the bare essentials, then sample minutes with a little more than the bare essentials.

Going to Disneyland Proposal:

Clarifying info: Hotel rooms are free only if we go as a group.
Disneyland (DL) has 5% fewer visitors since the Disney park opened in France.
Major discussion points: Everyone forgot DL after we opened in
Europe. Good to do something fun as a group. Later not a good time of year to go -- too
hot. Go now to take advantage of cheap air fares. Why not join the crowd and check out the
French one? There are other better ways to support DL.
Passed with the amendment "If we cannot arrange the trip before
May 25, it will be canceled." 10 yes, 2 no, 3 abstentions.
Alladin Cast Membership Proposal:
Presentation:
Unanimous vote of recommendation from the Membership Committee.
Major discussion points: The more the merrier. They made great film -- we'd be
proud to have them! Membership Comm. does it job well -- we trust them.
Passed. 15 yes, 0 no, 0 abstentions.
Member Concerns:
Are we getting a refund this year? -- forwarded to Finance Comm.
Assignments:
